Abundant Life Leadership Academy
Abundant Life Preparatory boarding school Option
Abundant Life Leadership Academy is a fully accredited (NAAS) Christian boarding school serving high school-aged students ages 14 to 18. ALLA is specifically designed for the student who is emotionally immature, struggling academically, and in need of academic restoration. This student would benefit from credit repair/recovery. ALLA offers hope to the once college-bound student who has recently gotten off track, and is in need of a highly structure boarding school to regain their academic vision. Our students are bright, gifted, yet unmotivated and undisciplined, and often require restructuring of priorities. Essentially, ALLA provides the right environment, discipline, and structure to ensure that our students will be academically successful.
The typical ALPA student is a good kid from a good Christ-centered family. Yet, this student struggles to stay focused and stay on task. Without tremendous structure and academic support this student can easily get behind academically and eventually gives up. The ALLA student has the tools and the intellect to be successful academically, but can get distracted easily and cares a lot more about their social life than they do academic priorities. Sometimes the right answer is to remove the child from the group of friends that causes the major distractions. Moreover, this student fails to turn in homework, waits to the last minute to complete projects, and puts off studying for tests until its too late.
Periodically, throughout the year, Abundant Life Leadership Academy offers our students Christ-centered leadership training through a series of powerful seminars. The ALLA leadership seminars are designed to help the young person develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others, improve relationships with all types of people, apply proven leadership principles, and increase overall wellness and a sense of well-being (boosting self-confidence and self-esteem). Additionally, ALLA offers Christian discipleship throughout the week (Bible study, Youth Group, Sunday Chapel).
In addition to academic structure and discipline ALLA offers an interscholastic athletic/sports program for boys (football, basketball, and baseball) and horsemanship (equine) program and cheerleading for girls. Moreover, ALLA offers recreational activities throughout the year, which include snow boarding, skiing, hiking, camping, theatre, concerts, etc.
The Abundant Life academic restoration program is a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 4 years. Upon enrollment each student will be academically evaluated, tested, and an Academic Plan will be written. ALLA is year-round school, practicing open enrollment (students enter the program throughout the year), provides ACT/SAT test preparation, as well as college placement counseling. Students do typically return home for holidays only (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter). AP classes and college classes are offered at an additional cost.
