Many troubled teen programs are available in Washington. These programs treat troubled teens for their respective problems, and as such they are varied in the amount of structure they have and their suitability for your troubled teen. Some of these programs are lockdown facilities for troubled teens who need structure to deal with their drug or alcohol issues. These programs are called group homes and they employ full-time medical staff who provide therapy and supervision around the clock.

Other programs are more focused on academics. A good example of this type of program is a Christian boarding school. Christian boarding schools help teens who come from Christian families who have turned their back on God and started going down the path of self-destruction. They take the troubled teen away from his or her friends at home who have been a bad influence on them and put them in a positive environment so that they have a chance to turn over a new leaf.
