Utah Boarding Schools
Boarding Schools in Utah
There is a big variety of troubled teen programs to choose from in Utah. These programs differ in the kinds of problems they treat and how structured they are. Some programs like group homes are very restrictive and structured so that they can help troubled teens who have mental disorders or drug addictions. The employ full-time medical staff to give teens therapy and provide constant supervision. Other schools are more focused on academics and are less structured, like boarding schools. These programs have excellent academic programs and also teach valuable life skills.
Wilderness schools are outdoor programs in which troubled teens learn survival skills and how to work as a team to overcome obstacles. This creates a sense of self-respect and accomplishment in your teen and helps him or her cope with their drug or alcohol abuse. Boot camps are military-style programs in which troubled teens who are rebellious or have anger problems undergo military structure and physical exercise. This teaches them discipline and obedience.
